I am giddy as all-get-out right now. That is a real term, right? All-get-out? Huh. Oh well. Anyway, I learned that there is something called “Friday Flip-Off’s” that us mom bloggers do. It was created by my new idol, Kludgy Mom. She is clearly an inspiration to us all. Now, typically I don’t get into all of the different themes that are out there for each of the days of the week. Not that I don’t enjoy reading them (particularly random Tuesdays… that’s some good shit), but I am too damn scattered to remember all of that crap when I’m supposed to. It’s a good day when my shoes match.
I tried Wordless Wednesday last time I had my blog. Or, perhaps it was the time before that. Who knows. Anyway, more then half of my Wordless Wednesday’s made their appearance on Thursday or Friday. Then I have the problem of not being able to locate my camera on any given day. Particularly Wednesday’s, apparently. Also, I had difficulties taking a picture of my child without his finger in his nose. And, if I did happen to take a picture that he wasn’t digging for boogers, he was eating them. Dude. Protein.
Then I tried Random Thoughts Tuesdays. After about 2 weeks of this, I realized that Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all looked like Random Thoughts Tuesday. Shit. No go.
But, this. THIS. I can do. I am slightly concerned about the length of my “Friday Flip-Off’s” posts. I will have to conjur up some self control and keep them at a somewhat reasonable length. Something I am seriously bad at. Self control. Flat out suck, actually. This week will be particularly hard. I am shaking with excitement to get this party started. I feel like I downed about 6 shots of espresso and then drank a Red Bull. I’m the obnoxious drunk girl dancing on the table, bottle in hand, yelling “Woo! I’m the ghost of Christmas’ past!” Beer in my hair and mascara dripping down my face. True story. Totally just got my first “Flip-Off.”
haha! I LOVE Friday Flip-Offs! Looking forward to reading yours!
Thanks! I can’t believe I am only now finding out about such a marvelous idea! Can’t wait to jump on that wagon…
