Circumstances: She (Lisa) was last seen at home on October 4, 2011 at approximately 4:00 a.m. Lisa has a birthmark on her right thigh. She was last known to be wearing purple pants and a purple shirt with kittens on it.

It shouldn’t hurt to be a kid. Hands down, this is my favorite time of year. I love walking into stores, seeing the (way too early) Christmas Displays. Going to the pumpkin patch, hearing my kids talk about Halloween and excitedly tell me what they want to be every single day – Usually something different each time. Planning for the holidays with my family, watching the little ones all whisper their excitement to one another.

I can honestly (and, regretfully) say that this is the only time of year that I sit back, watch my kids and really absorb the reality of how little time we have together. Not our lives… but THIS time. When they’re little and innocent and simple. Every kid should have that time of their lives. Every kid should be able to lay awake in excitement Christmas eve. Or, change their mind about what they want to be for Halloween 166 times.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, Lauryn was last seen September 7, 2010. She may be in the company of an adult female. Lauryn was last seen wearing a brown onesie with a pink flower and pink dots. She has a skin rash on both forearms and inner knees.

It shouldn’t hurt to be a kid because…

The way that Sophie smiles when I walk into a room, like she hasn’t seen me in weeks. She gasps in sheer delight!  It makes all of the many, many times that she has pooped IN THE TUB in the SAME NIGHT totally worth it.

Seeing Hunter’s face light up when we pull up to the park. Chasing him around (or waddling like a duck furiously) the playground, pushing him on the swing for what seems like hours sometimes just to get a few laughs out of him.
